The Shire of Dernehealde is the Athens County (Athens, Ohio) chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. We are centered on the campus of Ohio University. The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century, predominantly Western, Europe. This is accomplished in part by events where members can participate in a variety of activities – from tournaments, arts exhibits, classes, workshops, dancing, feasts, and more. Much of the experimentation and camaraderie is accomplished at our regular weekly meetings. This map shows our current meeting and fight practice locations.
